Donations

Hospice of the Good Shepherd is a tax exempt, non-profit organization. Insurance reimbursements do not cover all the cost incurred to provide care and services.
Every donation supports our mission by enhancing the care we give our patients and families, regardless of their ability to pay. Contributions from individual donors are vital to providing the full scope of services, and critical to our ongoing success. Those wishing to financially support Hospice of the Good Shepherd may do so through any of the following ways, all of which are tax deductible.
Contributions of cash~This is the easiest and most popular way to make a charitable gift. Such contributions can be made at any time by a check payable to:
Hospice of the Good Shepherd
2116 Dover Center Road
Westlake, Ohio 44145
Our website also provides the opportunity to donate using your MasterCard or Visa through PayPal or by printing the donation form and mailing in a check.
Memorial gifts~you can establish a memorial fund in tribute to a loved one. Many families make contributions in honor of those they love. It is common now in lieu of flowers to request family and friends make a memorial gift to Hospice of the Good Shepherd. You may submit information to your local newspaper such as “The family requests that memorial contributions are made to Hospice of the Good Shepherd, 2116 Dover Center Rd., Westlake, OH, 44145-3194.” Pre-printed donation envelopes are available for memorial donations. The family will be notified of all donations made in memory of their loved one.
Donations in honor of a person’s birthday, anniversary or other special occasion~
There is a growing trend of donations being made in lieu of traditional gifts. We are honored to accept donations to commemorate any occasion. A letter will be sent to the individual you designate along with your personal message.
Charitable bequests~Many people are choosing to make a gift to charitable institutions such as Hospice of the Good Shepherd through their will or estate plan. Simply by designating an amount of money, a percentage of your estate, a life insurance policy, or by naming Hospice of the Good Shepherd as a remainder beneficiary after other beneficiaries have been provided for can make a difference.
